The library directors are responsible for:
1. Determining and adopting written policies to govern
the operation of the library.
2.
Reviewing and approving
director’s annual budget recommendations and presenting the information
to the finance board.
3.
Assigning wages to library
staff per recommendations received from the director.
4.
Overall supervision of
library functions working closely with the director.
This board is comprised of nine members serving six year terms. They are
elected at the regular town election and take office two weeks following
the election.

From Enfield and points West of
Somers
Follow Route 190
East, Hazard Avenue in Enfield, into Somers where Route 190 becomes Main
Street in Somers. Turn right at the second full traffic light you
encounter once you enter Somers (by the Fire Safety Complex). This is
Ninth District Road. The library is the first building on the right
after you turn left into the Somers Education Complex.
From Stafford Springs and points
East of Somers
Follow Route 190
West into Somers. Turn left at the second full traffic light you
encounter once you enter Somers (by the Fire Safety Complex). This is
